  • Business development to attract medical partner clinics for affiliation to the international clinic brand.
  • Event planner, podium host and business development for medical seminars and conferences across North America for doctors and dentists applying natural and integrated medicine.
  • Negotiate venues, vendor sponsors, course manual and handout design and printing, A/V arrangements, shipping, marketing creative design, rich media development and deployment in advertising, e-campaigns, social media campaigns, e-registration sales fulfillment, lecturer contracts, podium host and program facilitator. 

 President, Biomed (Canada) and Terra-Medica Inc. (USA), Burnaby, BC,        2009 to 2017

  • Led all international business development, relationship building, planning and operations functions for these international natural medicine and supplement manufacturing companies. GMP compliant wholesale distribution of proprietary and imported products Represented 3 European brands of homeopathic and herbal tinctures for use by Naturopathic and Integrated Medicine doctors.
  • From a 15-year break-even position I deployed a new team to create $450,000 of new profit (+ 270%) within 2 years. An FDA ruling changed the company strategy and after restructuring I went to a new opportunity.

 General Manager, Integrity Mechanical Geothermal and HVAC, North Vancouver,                   2006 – 2008

  • The owner and I collaborated in development and recruiting to grow the geothermal, plumbing and heating business. We grew from 20 staff and $2.2M sales to 42 staff and $6.8M sales (+ 340%) in less than 2 years. The business was purchased, and I left to a new opportunity.

Owner and CEO  – Bowen Island Neighbourhood Pub, Bowen Island, B.C.                                     1995 – 2006

  • Owner and operator of Bowen Island Neighborhood Pub. Industry Association board member & lobbyist. Licensed and constructed a new Beer & Wine Store. Hospitality F&B management, event production and promotion, regulatory compliance, marketing, staff supervision and training. Increased sales by 300% within 2 years. Sold the business.

 Operations Manager and Project Leader – Dairyland Foods Ltd., Burnaby, B.C.                  1990 – 1995

  • Operations and Project Management. Team leadership, supervision and logistics development for warehouse and distribution operations including 125 Teamster warehouse/distribution/office employees ($8M payroll), 7 exempt shift supervisors and 4 shift foremen in 5 sub-departments at the Head Office hub of the 25 branch BC distribution network. Left to pursue a business opportunity.
  • I was appointed implementation Project Leader for co-ordination and optimization of one of Western Canada’s first fully automated warehouses. The 8 months of inter-department operations planning, and deployment transformed a previously siloed corporate culture (both union and non-union) into a collegiate atmosphere at head office.
