Career History

Director of Education Programs – North America, Swiss Biological Medicine Academy,               2017 – present

Startup:  New professional education programs are the strategy to attract international patient referrals to the Swiss clinic and new clinic affiliations. Activation of all facets of a new LLC business.

Quality and Sales Achievement: SBMA seminars are always rated with 5-Stars by medical and public attendees. A Toronto doctor said our event was ‘the most important and influential in 10 years’. Working from a home office, I achieved program sales of $170,000 to 160 doctors and healthcare professionals. The Swiss clinic is at service capacity (achieving over $200,000) and 6 clinics are in queue to brand with us in 2019/20.

Tasks: Business Development Strategy, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, Budgets and Operations. I designed and wrote new handouts, web page content, email campaigns, created new rich media (video and audio) to aid social media campaigns.

Event Management: All aspects of event planning in North American venue cities. Negotiate venues, vendor sponsors, lecturers, volunteers, course manual and handout design, printing, on-site logistics and video recording. Travel at 15% annually.

Change:  New owners of the Swiss clinics are shifting 2020 attention to building Asian clinics.

Sales Achievement:  270% Sales increase (+$450,000 new profit) of international medicine sales to professionals within 2 years by leading international executive recruiting, team sales, budgets, merchandising and marketing strategy. I rebranded logo and labels and published new professional product catalogues, newsletters, presentation materials, application guides, and fliers.

Change Management: I trimmed, re-purposed and trained the Customer Service, Warehouse, Supply Chain Processes, Administrative Tasks and Sales Teams into lean sales and fulfillment units. I led a responsive and collaborative international sales and marketing strategy that achieved unprecedented sales results for the company (from $2.2M to $6M).

Reputation Leveraged into Sales: New personal relationships with international natural health industry leaders, education seminars and webinars became a successful sales and reputation-building strategy mix. Created Education Director position in the company.

Change Management: This industry association promoted BC VQA Wines and operated 18 licensed retail wine stores with independent owners sharing the brand. I renewed an embattled relationship between the BCWI Board and the store network in readiness for new branding initiatives. The operating budget was $700K.

Advocacy Recognition: I lobbied the BC government in matters of agriculture trade policy, viticulture research, BCLDLB beverage alcohol regulations and tourism marketing initiatives. Sales Growth: Working with the owner we grew sales from $2.2M to $6.8M (+310%) in less than 2 years.  I redesigned internal administrative processes (AP / AR / IT / Payroll) and conducted skill recruiting and apprenticeship management to improve our capacities. We went from 20 to 42 staff. The owner very successfully sold the business.

Sales Growth:  As the purchasing owner and operator of Bowen Island Neighborhood Pub, increased sales by 320% within 2 years.  I licensed, constructed and equipped a new Beer & Wine Store.

F&B Operations Management: Hospitality F&B management for a team of 18.  Event production and promotion, regulatory compliance, HR policy, training and mentoring. Lobbying as an industry association board member.
